Description
Therapeutic formulations are designed for dogs with diagnosed health conditions that require targeted nutritional support. Some conditions demand more complex formulation work or ongoing adjustments over time. To accommodate these differences, two tiers of therapeutic formulation are available. Please refer to the list of eligible conditions for each tier below.
Each and every dog is unique- their diet should be as unique as them.
Every Therapeutic Formulation includes 1 raw or cooked recipe tailored specifically for your dog and their condition. The recipe will be customized to meet your dog’s specific needs based on breed, age, health status, and activity level, as well as your preferences for ingredients and preparation methods. In some cases, commercial food can be used as a portion of the diet.
I am not a veterinarian and cannot diagnose your dog or analyze medical reports and/or diagnostics. A veterinary diagnosis is required along with regular vet care.
What’s Included?
- 1 cooked or raw recipe formulated using current nutritional guidelines for your dog’s specific condition(s)
- Ingredient check before the formulation is completed to verify that you can source all ingredients
- Preparation, Feeding, and Transition instructions
- Nutrient Analysis
- Links to any supplements needed
- Extended support period:
- Basic Therapeutic Formulations- 4 months
- Advanced Therapeutic Formulations- 8 months (additional time can be purchased in cases of extended elimination trials)
Is My Dog Eligible?
Basic Therapeutic Formulations
- Dog’s condition is stable and has not changed in at least 6 months or the dog is newly diagnosed but is not expected to progress quickly
- Dog is doing well on their current diet/ medications
- Eligible conditions:
- Joint Conditions
- Kidney Disease
- Heart conditions
- Some cancers (please email for eligibility)
- Urinary stone prevention
- IBD or other GI cases that are currently doing well on their current diet
Advanced Therapeutic Formulations
- Advanced formulations include extra time for reformulations and support
- Eligible Conditions
- Obesity (BCS above 7/9)
- IBD or other GI conditions with ongoing symptoms
- Allergies/ intolerances needing elimination diets
- Other conditions with ongoing GI symptoms
- Once your dog is stable, additional recipes can be purchased for at a discount
NOTE: Senior dogs with no health conditions or dogs with allergies but without ongoing symptoms would qualify for healthy adult formulations.
